JURI AND ME is a project from Leipzig, formed in the mid-nineties. It went by various other names, but behind it all was always Andi (Juri) Karger (then Jurich). Andi has
always been a fan of electronic music, a passion that began in the eighties with bands like Ultravox, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, and Modern Talking.
The biggest influence, unsurprisingly, came from Depeche Mode. In the 2000s, the influence of EBM, synthpop, and techno was added. Punk and rock influences also
found their way into his music.
In the early 2000s, he had a small success on the Coca-Cola charts, reaching the top 50 with a song called "There is a New Beginning." He was also very active on the
Myspace platform at the time. It wasn't until 2014, however, that the album "Stay Alive" was released, featuring minor hits like "Set Me Free," "The End," "Tanz mein
kleines Herz" (Dance My Little Heart), and a cover version of "But Not Tonight."
At the end of 2014, the EP "All These Years" was released.
Things became quieter after that, but he continued working on ideas in his small home studio, which, due to the changing market situation, he didn't release.
Since 2024, the project has been revived, and since 2025, he has been releasing small singles and EPs at irregular intervals, which have appeared on platforms such as
Spotify and Apple Music.
To close out 2025, the single EP "White Silence" was released, featuring newly edited versions of "All These Years" and "A Cold Dark Winter's Day," as well as a cover
version of Erasure's "She Won't Be Home."
... It will continue; the end is not yet in sight.
The planned album will likely be released in mid-2026, if all goes well.
